Another mixed level of success for Thame Bowls Club last week.

Thame Men lost a close fought game against South Oxford on Friday for the “Norfolk Trophy”. Although winning on two of the four rinks they went down by over 20 shots overall. The 2nd Leg of this two match competition on June 12th at Oxford leaves a lot for the Thame Men to do to regain the Trophy.

On Saturday Thame entertained near neighbours Long Crendon and another close match ended in a win for Long Crendon by just 7 shots. Top rink for Thame was that of Jill Brooks, Marion Keal, Mel Dale and Skip Ron Duncan.

On Sunday, Thame travelled to High Wycombe for another Mixed match and yet another close game. This time Thame came out winners by just 5 shots. Top rink for Thame was Maire Duncan, Christine Liddle, Trevor Copley and skip Graham Penn.
