Congratulations to Thame bowlers Adie Twinn (who beat another Thame bowler, Chris Billingham in the quarter final) and Ade Kemish who have both qualified for the Semi Final of the County Alison Cup competition.

The Semi Final games take place at Shiplake Bowls Club on Sunday, August 4th and any support would be most welcomed. Good luck to both players - who knows, you could meet each other in the Final if the draw is favourable.

Thame Ladies have also done the Club proud by getting to the Final of the County Top Club Competition for the 4th year running. They comfortably beat a strong South Oxford Ladies team last Sunday morning.

The pairs combination of Margaret Boynton and Marthie Du Preez were always too strong for their opponents. The Thame Triples of Jill Brooks, Caroline Walker and Doreen Penn had a slightly tougher time but ran out comfortable winners in the end. The Fours of Maire Duncan, Sharon Gardner, Shirley Foster and Skip Maxine Plested picked up two sevens in their storming victory. In the Singles, Hazel Westcott faced a very experience opponent, new to The S. Oxford Club and eventually lost by 8 shots.

Another great performance from Thame Ladies !! It will be Shiplake in the final (again) on Sunday August 25th at Kidlington B.C.
