Proposed new Clubhouse
The Ladies of Thame Bowls Club have reached the final of the Oxfordshire Ladies Top Club competition by beating a very strong Oxford City & County side last weekend. Having already beaten Banbury Boro in the quarters, Thame showed their class at Oxford.

Captain Caroline Walker got them off to a great start by winning her Singles match 21 shots to 16. In the fours, namely Sharon Heafey, Marion Keal, Maureen Giles and skip Maxine Plested had the best start possible by winning with all eight woods on the very first end (known as a "hotshot" ) in their match. They ran out winners by 26 to 16.

Meanwhile the Triples of Jill Brooks, Christine Liddle and Barbara Waters were battling their way to a 20 shots to 15 victory over their opponents.
Only the Thame pair of Maire Duncan and Shirley Foster lost, by just 3 shots, in this very competitive tournament.

The final, in August, will be played at Banbury Chestnuts Bowls Club.
