How to register for the website

Website Account Registration

 

 

Please Note: Only current club members will be allowed to register an account. This will be verified against the

ThameBowls Club member list. 

Before you start you will need to obtain an authorisation code. To do this please go to the "Contact Us" area where you should complete

the email form requesting an authorisation code and click on send.

Our website registration rules require you to disclose your real name for identification – this is used to determine if you are a member

of the club. 

You may use any “username” you wish which should be easily remembered as this is used to log on to your account once it is

approved. If you forget your username please use the "Forgot your username" link below the "Log in " section.

You will need to create a password that is a minimum of 8 characters long and must contain at least 1 capital letter and 1 number.

Every time you log in to your account, you are given the opportunity to change your password. Do this as often as you like and

certainly when you suspect that someone else has discovered your password.  If you forget your password, please use the "Forgot your

password?" link below the "Log In" section to reset it.

 

The account registration process is as follows:

  1. Click on the "Create an account" link found below the "Log In" section. This opens a form for your details

  2. Please enter your REAL name and a user name of your choice

  3. Type in a password, and repeat it to confirm the password

  4. Type in your email address - make sure it is correct otherwise registration can not be completed

  5. Type in the Authorisation Code you should have received.

  6. Wait a short while, then retrieve the email sent to you from the website as part of the registration process

  7. Click on the "activation link" in the email - this verifies that your email address is valid and you're a human

  8. An email is sent to the website administrator for approval

  9. The administrator will validate your details and approves the application

  10. An email will be sent to you to confirm registration - it is now possible to sign on to the member's area of the website

  11. If it takes longer than 48 hours for your account to be activated, please send an email to the Club from the “Contact Us” page to prompt an investigation.

How to register for the Rink Diary

Rink Diary Account Registration

 

Please Note: Only current club members will be allowed to register an account. This will be verified against the Thame Bowls Club member list. 

 

The Rink Diary is an application that allows users to book rinks in advance via the internet to save travelling to the club and finding that all rinks are in use. You are strongly encouraged to register as soon as you join the club so that you can ensure that even for a roll up you will have a rink. All internal competition matches must be pre booked and all other fixtures are loaded before the season starts once dates have been confirmed.

 

The Rink Diary is a separate software package to this website and therefore you will need a different username and password to the website.

 

The registration and login page can be found here and looks like this.


If you are registered and have login details you can use the left of the panel to sign in. If you have forgotten your
password just click on “Forgot your Password”, enter your user name and a new password will be emailed to you.
You can change the new password once you have signed in by clicking on the “My Profile” tab which appears when
you are signed in.

If you are not yet registered fill in your details on the right of the panel, tick the box in the “I’m not a robot” panel,
click “Register Now” and the administrator will approve your registration.

Please note that you will need to create a password that is a minimum of 8 characters long and must contain at least 1 capital letter and 1 number.
You will be sent an email to let you know your registration has been approved and you will then be able to sign in
with the details you have provided. The sign in user name is usually your first name and either the first initial of your
surname or your full surname.

 

A link to the full manual is available on every web page either to view on screen or for you to print if you wish.
